About

For those of you that know me, yes this is me starting yet another blog, and yes, I am aware that blogs are meant to be updated more than three times, and yes, I know the idea is to have one blog rather than getting bored and starting a new one, yada yada yada… But, trust me this time.

This isn’t a travel blog, though I have started it as I return from a year of travelling Oz (with a few brief holidays-from-a-holiday and a lets-delay-going-home trip). Most of my time in Oz was spent travelling the East Coast, sunbathing and causing mayhem in a variety of places after too much goon*. I also spent 4 months in Bundaberg (though you probably haven’t heard of it referred to as that, as it is more commonly known as Fucking Bundy or Bundaturd). I don’t have much against Bundaberg itself but picking cherry tomatoes when you want to be bumming around Australia’s beaches is enough to give anyone an attitude about the place. All in all, I had the best year and I am hoping this blog will give me something to do that isn’t pouting around sad that I’m back.

So, about me…

Lauren, 25. Hi, hello, heya.

When I’m not avoiding the responsibilities of life by travelling, I’m a content writer. I thought it was about time I put some effort into writing for myself. It is probably a bit late to be starting a blog, but better late than never, right? (The irony of someone whose job it is to start a blog four years after I should have is not lost on me).

I love to travel. I am passionate about elephants, like, really passionate. I just love them so much. I also love wine, chicken nuggets, sour gummy sweets and caffeine. I take my hair and winged eyeliner very seriously. I still really care about the 90s and I keep up with the Kardashians better than I keep up with my own life.

This blog is likely to be a mixture of everything, probably a bit like a diary really. I’ll write about things I like, things I don’t, things I’ve done and my daily fails at being an adult. I’m twenty-odd and over it.

Still debating whether this picture was worth the hike.
